Body Shop Prepper/Painter

Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced Prepper/Painter to our Body Shop team Erin Dodge Chrysler. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive painting and preparation, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking and priming surfaces to ensure a smooth and clean finish
- Mix and match paint colours to achieve accurate colour matches, ensuring consistency
- Apply paint using spray guns and other painting equipment, paying close attention to detail and ensuring even coverage
- Perform quality inspections to ensure finished vehicles meet customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized paint booth and work area, following all safety protocols and procedures
- Assist with other duties in the body shop as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a prepper/painter
- Personal set of tools is required
- Basic understanding of automotive painting techniques, including colour matching and blending
- Knowledge of various paint types and application methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and precision
- • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
