Job description
Your job responsibilities include developing and executing employee relations plans, offering guidance, and implementing best practices. You'll collaborate with relevant stakeholders to cultivate a culture consistent with values and effectively execute employee communication channels. Take charge of managing and continuously improving the target setting process and ongoing performance reviews.
Play a key role in supporting the recruitment of salaried professional employees by working closely with the Recruiting Team. Collaborate with production supervisors to identify employee training and development needs, implementing training programs to address organizational requirements, and coordinating and delivering training to meet legal obligations.
Oversee worker's compensation (WSIB) claims with TeksMed and drive continuous improvement. Ensure the maintenance of all records for regulatory compliance and internal process management. Provide coaching to supervisors and team leads on progressive discipline and development planning.
Support the coordination of annual merit pay review processes for all positions across the plant. Additionally, assist the HR Director with staffing and headcount updates, gather market competitive salary data, and execute the plant safety strategy.

A bachelor's degree in business, management, human resources, or related disciplines is required, along with a human resources certification (CHRP or similar designation is an asset). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and UKG (Previously Ultimate Pro and Kronos) HRIS is essential
