Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Superintendent for our Vancouver based client. They are a prominent construction firm dedicated to delivering high-quality projects with a focus on innovation, safety, and excellence. They are seeking an experienced and accomplished Senior Superintendent to join our construction management team. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and guide the successful execution of complex construction projects.

Position Overview: As a Senior Superintendent, you will be a key leader in our construction team, responsible for providing direction, guidance, and oversight to ensure the successful completion of projects. This role demands a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills, in-depth construction knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Site Leadership:

   • Provide overall leadership and direction to on-site construction teams.
   • Oversee and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

2. Safety Management:

   • Implement and enforce comprehensive safety programs to maintain a secure work environment.
   • Conduct regular safety audits, training sessions, and promote a culture of safety awareness among on-site personnel.

3. Quality Assurance:

   • Ensure that construction work meets or exceeds quality standards and project specifications.
   • Implement and monitor quality control processes, conducting regular inspections.

4. Schedule Coordination:

   • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
   • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to optimize construction timelines.

5. Communication and Collaboration:

   • Foster effective communication between on-site personnel, project managers, and other stakeholders.
   • Collaborate with engineering, design, and procurement teams to ensure seamless project integration.

6. Problem Solving:

   • Proactively identify and address construction challenges, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
   • Document and report deviations from project plans and recommend adjustments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in construction management, with a proven track record as a Senior Superintendent or in a similar leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
