Your Role and Impact
You'll play a crucial role in driving our sales efforts, identifying new business opportunities and both developing and maintaining customer relationships. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Prospect & Develop New Relationships: Spend significant time in the field, and engage with potential clients face-to-face in their environments. Your goal is to exceed sales quotas by identifying new contracts and developing fruitful relationships.
- Consult & Sell: Offer consultative and value-added solutions. Deliver compelling sales presentations, develop lead generation strategies and sales plans, present our service offerings, and negotiate contractual terms. You'll need to be adept at understanding your client needs
- Manage & Grow Accounts: Approximately 65% of your time will focus on hunting new business, with 35% on managing and upselling existing accounts. Your success includes maintaining ongoing relationships and ensuring smooth service execution.
- Collaborate & Coordinate: Work closely with internal departments to develop and perform a customized business analysis for the creation of proposals, as well as onboard new clients and solve any arising issues.
- Personal Growth: Proactively keep on top of market trends, and attend educational opportunities and networking sessions.
- Service Excellence: Make frequent site visits for inspections, team training, and client relationship management. Attend client meetings and quarterly business reviews to discuss current and future business states.
Position Requirements (Education/ Skills/ Technical):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a supply chain/warehouse/manufacturing sales.
- Experience in staffing sales, as well as experience in the Cost Per Unit, drayage or industrial services/supplies space.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership teams and executives
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
