Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Victoria & Parksville, BC - Healthcare

Are you a Licensed Pharmacist interested in a role in a non-retail setting? We are supporting Long Term Care client pharmacies in Victoria and Parksville, BC with their searches for In-Dispensary Pharmacists who will join well-established pharmacy teams (with pharmacist overlap) and will focus on the delivery of patient care and service to long term care patients.

Shift times are scheduled in advance. Our ideal candidate has open availability to take 8-hour shifts within the range of M-F 9am - 6pm - shifts run either 9am - 5pm or 10am - 6pm (this Pharmacist will work an 8 hour shift and have a 30 minute unpaid lunch break). There are no regular weekend shifts. On-call rotation is shared between all pharmacists. This pharmacist will support a variety of duties including prescription triage, data entry, final checking, and support staff supervision.

Responsibilities
Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Victoria & Parksville, BC - Healthcare

- Ensuring compliance with College of Pharmacy requirements when delivering pharmacy service
- Ensuring patient care and safety while completing all typical duties of Pharmacist in a LTC setting
- Supporting operations which may include staff supervision, inventory management support, dispensing duties and other tasks to optimize service opportunities, cost containment, patient retention and development
- Other duties as required to support patient care and safety

Qualifications
Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Victoria & Parksville, BC - Healthcare

- Licensed Pharmacist in BC and in good standing with the College of Pharmacy required
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working in a fast-paced setting with a great team!
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills
