Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Site Superintendent
- Create and manage the project punch list.
- Consolidate the deficiency list with outstanding punch list items and manage the successful and timely completion of the combined list.
- Facilitate and minute the foreman’s meetings.
- Coordinate trades and communicate with PM/PC as requested by the Senior Site Superintendent.
- Create and manage a micro schedule as requested by the Senior Site Superintendent.
- Perform project administrative duties as requested by the Senior Site Superintendent.
- Supervise and maintain the progress of the project in the Senior Site Superintendent’s absence; in collaboration with the Project Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on tenant fit-outs/leasehold improvements.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
- Completion of necessary certificates and training, including WHIMIS, Fall Arrest, Basics of Supervisor, Occupational Health & Safety Awareness for Supervisors, and others as required.
- Familiarity with workplace compliance regulations at local, provincial, and federal levels.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and demands.
- Leadership presence.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Successful supervision of a range of construction projects (budget, size, scope, schedule, complexity).
