Carpenter PCR Construction Whitehorse, YT Full Time Compensation: $30 to $35 Hourly

We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter for large-scale construction projects to join our team as a full-time permanent key contributor.

Following will be the main job duties:

• o Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Survey building locations and levels
• Instruct apprentices
• Supervise other workers
• Estimate costs and materials
• o Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments

This position may require willingness to work in remote locations
