Job description

Our client, who is a global leader in the manufacturing of CNC automated machines is looking to expand their business in Canada. We are looking to hire for Field Service Engineer in Ontario or Quebec region
with experience in installing CNC machines and troubleshooting/servicing them.

Must have:
- Bilingual
- CNC machine experience
- the ability to travel across East and Central Canada
- passport eligible to travel to US and Europe for training

Responsibilities
• Able to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematic drawings.
• Have at a minimum a good understanding of mechanical assembly.
• Knowledge of metalworking processes, at least some of milling, drilling, machining, sawing, plasma, or oxy-fuel torch cutting.

• Ability to write concise engineering reports.
• Ideally would have a track record in CNC machine tool fault finding and repair.
• The role is customer-facing so must be a good communicator.

Qualifications
• A multi-skilled engineer capable of working on his/her own or as part of a team.
• Must be willing to travel if more than a short journey to the customer during longer planned work.
• Ideally an electrical engineering degree or equivalent engineering qualification
• Computer literate using Windows programs.
• Experience in the steel fabrication industry whilst not essential would be advantageous.
