Heavy Equipment Technician / Mechanic
LOCATION: Nisku, AB
WORK ENVIRONMENT: In-Shop
TYPE: Full-Time (Days, 4 x 10)
SUMMARY:
The Heavy Equipment Technician will perform mechanical repairs, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting and PDIs on a variety of equipment that is represented by JJE in a timely and effective manner. This incumbent will be focused on Welding and fabrication in the service shop.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Journeyman technician or mechanic
- 2+ years’ experience working in a shop environment with welding and fabrication
- Valid Driver’s License with Clean Abstract
- Experienced with hydraulic and/or electrical work an asset
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform trouble shooting, mechanical repairs and PDIs (pre-delivery inspections) on a variety of heavy equipment represented by JJE
- Conduct repairs in a timely and effective manner, communicating effectively with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure optimal efficiency
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections
- Communicate with Lead Hand and/or Service Manager regarding job progress and job status changes
- Maintain organized and safe work area and shop tools

- Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the Company or by the regulations.
