Administrative Assistant to Director, Corporate Loss Prevention

About the BCLDB:

The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of two branches of government that provide oversight for the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in the province. The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retails brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.

Corporate Operations at the BCLDB includes our Corporate Loss Prevention, Real Estate departments and Corporate Audit. Construction and Facilities department manages all activities related to the construction, renovation, and facilities management of all new and existing LDB facilities, included head office, distribution centres, and all BC Liquor and BC Cannabis retail locations. The Leasing department manages all activities related to leasing of all new and existing LDB facilities, included head office, distribution centres, and all BC Liquor and BC Cannabis retail locations. The Corporate Loss Prevention department ensures the security of all BCLDB assets through physical security management as well as an investigative team.

About this role:

Reporting to the Director, the position is the initial contact to the public, staff at all levels, and others with whom the Director or senior staff may have contact. The position provides coordination and direct support for the department’s staff administration and all other administrative support activities throughout the department. This position is the key focal point of departmental activity, therefore must maintain an efficient flow of information between the Director’s Office, Executive Director’s Office, Department Managers and staff.

A criminal record check is required.

The successful candidate will be required to work on-site, Monday to Friday.
