Support Worker

SCE LifeWorks supports adults who have intellectual disabilities to work and participate in the community. SCE LifeWorks has a part time opening in our Individualized Support Services. More hours may be added to this position at a later date.

SCE LifeWorks is seeking an Individualized Support Worker for 21 hours per week supporting a gentlemen at home and in the community. Shifts are Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and Fridays 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Six hour shifts are paid for 6.5 hours and 7 hour shifts are paid for 8 hours.

Job Details:

• Job duties include participating with this gentleman to exercise, as well as community based leisure activities.
• The ideal candidate will have experience supporting people who have intellectual disabilities.
• A vehicle is required for this position. Mileage is reimbursed at .46 per km.
• The starting rate is $18.67 per hour.
• Training is provided.

The successful staff person must be physically able/willing to learn to cross-country ski and bike ride.
