Position Overview:

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial records with precision and efficiency. Working closely with our experienced accounting team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to the success of our organization.

Junior Accountant Job Requirements:

• • 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • MS Excel experience; using formulas, filters, and some pivot tables 
  • Payroll experience would be an asset
  • Experience with NetSuite or QuickBooks accounting software would be an asset
  • Positive attitude and someone who is ready to work in a drama-free environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Job Summary

The Junior Accountant is responsible for:

• Assisting the accounts payable with employee reimbursements
• Processing dental clinic refunds utilizing "Write Check" Program as well as referencing to dental clinic software and clinical staff
• Assiting with accounts payable vendor bill entry and regular supplier payments
• Performing monthly credit card recording and reconciliations 
• Assisting with clinics bank transaction imports and bank reconciliations
• Assiting Payroll Specialist with temporary employee payroll, new employee setup, and employee timecards; utilizing ADP payroll system
• Manage Rental Property Accounting 
• Support Accounting Team with add-hoc duties as required

Location: Dental Choice Head Office in West Edmonton. 

Full-time Position: Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. 

Free parking available.

This individual will report to the Controller
