Aurizon Logistics Inc. is looking to hire a Senior Dispatcher/Freight Broker to join our Operations team in Brampton, ON. This is a Full Time role position Monday to Friday (Hours to be determined based on operational needs). The Senior Dispatcher/Freight Broker will be responsible for providing support to Aurizon Logistics Inc.’s by answering and processing incoming freight orders, coordinating freight shipments, and providing excellent customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: An ability to maintain and build relationships with our Customers & Carrier Partners alike. An ability to build relationships internally with Sales, Operations and Administration team personnel. Need to have his own Book of Business. Proficiency in data entry, coupled with a strong attention to detail when booking shipments. UFOS experience would be a definite asset. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks at any one time, including scheduled on-call status one week per month. Comprehensive geographical knowledge of North America Strong negotiation skills coupled with a sound knowledge of the North American Load Brokering industry. Knowledge of “Cross Border” Custom procedures and Carrier Compliance standards. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Fluency in French would be a wonderful asset Approachable, positive demeanor with a hands-on and team-oriented work style. Education and Experience: ·High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ·Minimum 3 years of previous experience in a Senior Dispatcher or Freight Broker role. ·Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. ·Knowledge of Transportation Management Software. ·Must be able to read, write & speak English fluently.
