We're on the lookout for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and motivated Janitor to bring their zest for cleanliness to a Distribution team in the South end of Guelph! This isn't your average clean-up gig – it's a chance to be the superhero of sanitation in a bustling manufacturing environment.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Sanitation Tech to join the South-end Manufacturing and Distribution team. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the manufacturing plant and warehouse areas. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing sanitation environment, preferably in the food or pharmaceutical industry.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Pay Rate: $17 per hour
Duration: Approximately one month
Location: South-West of Guelph, not on a bus route

Responsibilities
- Perform daily sanitation duties, including cleaning and sanitizing common areas, production workstations, and equipment
- Refill soap, sanitizers, paper towels, and other personal protective equipment
- Operate various powered industrial equipment, including electric pallet jacks, power washers, steam cleaners, floor scrubbers, vacuums, and man-lifts
- Complete daily reports as needed
- Report issues or repairs immediately
Qualifications
- Basic computer and data entry skills required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing sanitation environment, preferably in the food or pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to read and interpret documents safety sheets, operating instructions, and manuals
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Experience operating powered industrial equipment (floor scrubber, electric pallet jack, and man lift)
- Strong Attention to detail
- Team player with a positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to learn new tasks
