Position Summary
100 Mile House Hospital (OMH) has an immediate permanent, part-time (0.80 FTE) Physiotherapist opening.

The Physiotherapist is a key position in a multi-disciplinary team setting. In this position, the Physiotherapist is mainly working within a 16-bed inpatient acute care setting involving assessments, rehab program planning, and multi-disciplinary discharge planning. Also working with and providing supervision to Rehabilitation Assistants. This Physiotherapist position covers one convalescent short stay bed and physiotherapy assessments (as needed for five respite beds) at the long-term care facility Fisher Place.

There is also some outreach into the community to assist with discharges. This community hospital presents a mixed client base ranging from acute respiratory to chronic disease, knee and hip replacements, non-telemetry to chronic, and medical. The Emergency Department has 10 treatment bays and receives approximately 35 patient visits per day. You will work closely with the Physicians and team, to deliver patient centered care by assisting individual patients and their families respond to changing
health care needs.

This position is suitable for a new graduate or a seasoned therapist. We are seeking a Physiotherapist who works well within the team, with good people and communication skills. Ability to coach and educate clients and willingness to learn new skills.

Qualifications
• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Valid Driver’s license.
