Job description

Our Laval company is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for the evening shift who can manage and motivate the warehouse team!

Do you have a preference for teamwork and warehouse experience? We need someone with your drive! We're looking for people who like to move around and enjoy the human touch, building on good team relationships to get the job done.

As an Evening Warehouse Supervisor, you'll manage team leaders from various departments. You'll also support the manager in organizing and planning operations, as well as coaching and developing employees, monitoring progress, and enforcing rules and procedures.

Evening hours Monday to Friday
2pm to 11:30pm
Salary starting at 80k
Evening bonus

Responsibilities
The Warehouse Supervisor will, among other things:

- Plan and supervise daily warehouse activities, including staffing requirements;
- Set performance targets and deadlines for team leaders;
- Manage team performance to achieve company standards;
- Use performance indicators to guide decisions;
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback;
- Resolve work quality issues;
- Resolve difficulties between employees;
- Participate in writing performance appraisals;
- Motivate team members and create strategies to increase productivity;
- Ensure workers are trained and meet company objectives;
- Conduct SAP investigations as needed and correct discrepancies;
- Promote best practices and compliance with health and safety standards;
- Monitor the proper operation of equipment and manage the preventive and corrective maintenance schedule for material handling equipment;
- Replace the Warehouse Manager in his absence.

Qualifications
Skills expected of an excellent Warehouse Supervisor :

- 5 years' experience in a similar management role;
- Proficiency in Excel; SAP/WMS;
- Bilingual English-French
- Ability to mentor, coach and develop employees;
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment;
- Good communication skills;
- Good analytical skills;
- Attention to detail.
