Job description

Position Summary The Facilities Manager is to ensure the successful management and maintenance of NOIC Academy premises. The incumbent is responsible for managing the maintenance of the school building and residences, including janitorial services, preventative maintenance, and landscaping the entire campus. The Facilities Manager works closely with the Principal and Director of Education in all areas of students activities. Key Responsibilities Plan, assign and manage maintenance and operations personnel assigned to the campus; assure school buildings, grounds, facilities and equipment are operational and health, safety and security policies and guidelines are met; Inspect school buildings and grounds to assure that proper safety, cleaning and sanitation standards are maintained; assume responsibility for school alarm system; Arrange for necessary repair work by vendors and maintenance personnel; contact vendors by telephone/email as necessary; inspect and review work performed to assure the mandatory standards are met; Manage the warehousing of materials and supplies for school and residence facilities; Plan and implement a preventive maintenance program for school buildings and grounds; Develop and oversee the facilities maintenance and management budget; Coordinate use of school facilities with staff and community groups; communicate with users about specific needs; assist the public as necessary. Assure that all safety requirements are followed by users; Respond to emergency call-backs during off-duty hours; Provide ad hoc support to school’s student activities. Position Requirements Academic & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline At least five years in facilities management Experienced in full-set of accounting management and supervise a small team Knowledge & Competency Requirements Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple projects Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the school Desirable Requirements Licensed electric technician is an advantage Experienced in school setting
