Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct compilation review audit bookkeeping and tax engagements.
- Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and prepare corporate tax returns.
- Correspondence with clients and tax authorities.
- Prepare personal tax returns and information returns as required.
- Lead and supervise junior accounting staff providing guidance and support.
- Perform complex reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards implementing necessary updates.
Requirements
- CPA designation
- 2 to 3 years of public accounting with a focus on mediumsized clients.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.

The successful candidate will have: Post-secondary education, with a focus on accounting preferred Minimum of five (5) years experience in a public accounting firm preferred Bookkeeping experience Knowledge of QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) is required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
