Part-Time Administrative Assistant, Consumer Insolvency

Responsibilities
- Responsible to provide administrative assistance including answering the phone, scheduling appointments and completing data entry on a daily basis
- Provide support to the team members and excel at customer service related tasks
- Assist in the administration of formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies, proposals and receiverships
- Follow-up with creditors regarding submitted paperwork or file particulars
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents
- Assist in e-filing relevant documents in a timely manner
- Prepare schedules, reports and other documents
- Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
- Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
- Attend internal MNP courses to further develop knowledge around performance improvement
Skills and Experience
- 2 years of post-secondary education
- One (1) to two (2) years of relevant work experience, ideally in a professional services environment is an asset
- Interest in learning about the BIA. Having working knowledge of the BIA would be an asset
- Willingness to take the Insolvency Counsellor qualification program course to become a qualified Insolvency Counsellor
- Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn new technology
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of the importance of timeliness and responsiveness
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Committed team player with comfortability working independently
- Some travel may be required
