Job description
Adecco is presently seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to join a prominent Canadian specialty aerospace and defense company situated in Abbotsford, BC. This full-time, permanent role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute technical avionics expertise crucial to the development and maintenance of electronic and electrical systems.
Candidates must be eligible to meet the requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Canadian Government Security Clearances.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Strive to consistently act in a manner in which reflects the company’s culture and values
· Provide expert avionics support for electronic and electrical designs and applications, particularly for Transport and Utility class aircraft
· Source technical information pertinent to flight operations, aircraft electronic and electrical systems, and relevant Transport Canada and/or FAA avionics regulations
· Develop engineering orders (EO) to guide technical repair activities on customer aircraft, adhering to mechanical, electrical, and electronic drawings, producing CAD electrical drawings, and following Cascade engineering policies and procedures
· Implement appropriate modifications to engineering applications, designs, specifications, and requirements
· Generate original and modified avionic and electrical designs for existing aircraft systems or new installations
· Draft and interpret electrical specifications concerning aircraft
· Ensure all modifications meet approval from Transport Canada and FAA
· Oversee the use of avionic calibration testing equipment and provide guidance and training to technicians
· Assess the necessity and availability of testing equipment required for specific tasks
· Determine procurement or rental options for suitable testing equipment
· Ensure workplace conduct aligns with company Human Resources safety and security policies and procedures
· Perform other duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications:
· Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Avionics Engineering or Technology
· 3-5 years’ experience in aircraft Electrical/Avionics engineering
· Proficiency in Engineering principles and project management fundamentals
· Familiarity with Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS II)
· Knowledgeable in digital instruments, digital communications, and high-level navigation systems
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
