Insight Global is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join one of Canada's largest retail companies located in Vancouver, BC on a 12-month contract basis. In this role, you will be joining the digital experience team and will be leading the Catalog Data migration initiative from an old legacy system to a new internally built Commerce system. This team impacts the downstream consumer and strong stakeholder management and presence is critical for this role to be successful. Our client requires a Project Manager who isn't highly technical, but familiar with the data interfaces and how the catalog content and data is being consumed.
The ideal candidate should possess over 5 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager; preference will be given to those with a background in managing projects within a large-scale environment, particularly in the retail or e-commerce domain.
We seek someone who has successfully led Data or System Migration initiatives that have impacted multiple cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated experience in navigating the complexities of data migration and system transitions is essential.
The candidate must have a strong understanding of data consumption and the effective management of development or data teams.
This includes knowledge of best practices for data handling, quality assurance, and optimization.
Exceptional written communication skills are a must.
The successful candidate should also exhibit a strong stakeholder presence and be adept at managing relationships with project stakeholders.
Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project management tools is required.
