The Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for one or more twelve-month Limited Term Appointment/s at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2024. The position/s are subject to final budgetary approval.
Qualified candidates must hold a PhD in Economics or be close to completion (i.e., can defend by July 1, 2025). Preference will be given to candidates who show evidence of a commitment to scholarship and excellence in teaching. Duties primarily include undergraduate teaching, but may include graduate teaching. Applicants in all fields will be considered with preference given to candidates with expertise in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and/or econometrics.

The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics has over one hundred full-time faculty and more than five thousand undergraduate and graduate students. The Economics Department is located on the Waterloo campus. As of July 2023, the Department of Economics consists of 27 tenured or tenure-track faculty. The faculty maintain an active research profile publishing in top tier journals, hold competitive research grants, and editorial positions at academic journals.
