Job description

Our client is a leading welding and fabricating company located in  Cranbrook BC and in the scenic heart of the Kootenays, Cranbrook offers a desirable balance between professional growth and leisurely living.

As our Drafting Technologist , your primary responsibilities will include:

 

• Develops detailed fabrication designs and drawings
• Prepare CAD files for Voortman Machines
• Assists in developing and maintaining CAD drawing libraries
• Program plasma table, beam line, CNC break
• Assist Fabricator/Welders with additional drawing information
• Assist Shop Manager with Quality Control Documents
• May perform other duties as assigned by leadership

ACCOUNTABILITY & DECISION MAKING Scope and magnitude of financial, budgetary, cost, employee responsibility and decision-making.	Responsible for the quality and accuracy of drawings
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Years of experience combined with education, designations or certifications.	Design and Drafting Tech diploma Computer skills – email, word, excel, CAD Strong Tekla software background Solid Works/Inventor software experience
