Welder JM/RS

We are a growing company owned by a journeyman welder who understands the challenging environments you work in.

We have multiple projects on-going at any one time.  Additionally, we sub-contract employees to client's job sites where we have supervisors on-site to support our workers. Job sites vary from  fabrication, industrial, and marine. We have opportunities in Halifax and throughout Nova Scotia.

Our fabrication shop in Pictou, NS has over 40 qualified welding procedures within the CWB, ASME, & DNV codes. Our modern production facility combined with the strategic partnerships we have formed across Atlantic Canada ensures we can fabricate a wide variety of highly complex turnkey products to suit any project's requirements. We provide custom fabrications and replacement parts in carbon steel, aluminum, & stainless grades.

We are currently looking for qualified welders to join our team. 

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Red Seal Welder
• 3- 5 years of experience
• Required Certifications
  • Current 4 position (F,H,V,O) FCAW
  • Current 4 position (F,H,V,O) SMAW

• Additional Items would be considered an asset:
  • CWB stainless steel ticket
  • CWB W47.2 aluminum welding ticket
  • DOL pressure plate/pipe certification
  • Working at Heights & Confined Space
  • Ability to travel.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and shop drawings.

Security Level Requirements (Upon hiring)

• Fingerprint & Background Check
• Able to pass Reliability Status
• Able to pass Controlled Goods Clearance

Duties Include

• Welding all positions.
• Grinding
• Machine equipment set-up (knowledge of welding parameters).
• Work as part of a cross-functional team with tasks and duties beyond welding.
• Occasional evening/weekend work may be required.
• Job specific hazards/restrictions:
  • Confined space
  • Heights
  • Extreme temperature
  • Noise
  • Lifting and awkward positions

Benefits

• Rate of $36 per hour for red seal with all positions in FCAW & SMAW
• Rate of $38 per hour for red seal with all positions in FCAW & SMAW, plus CuNi, Stainless and Pipe
