Data Governance Analyst

We are currently looking for a Data Governance Analyst for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

Hourly salary of $75 to $85 based on experience.

7month contract.

Fulltime 37.50 hours per week.

Hybrid work of 3 remote days and 2 office days.

Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of data governance and privacy frameworks in Personal Insurance (PI) by:

Applying a business lens to prioritize and build capabilities such as data quality management data protection and data lineage.

Identifying process gaps or optimization opportunities to enhance the efficiency and robustness of data controls including finding better ways to document data lineage.

Liaising with business and risk stakeholders to ensure that policies and standards are interpreted as clear business requirements and developing a work plan for PI to execute.

Delivering data governance and privacy products such as data quality reports and data maps.

What you will need to succeed:

Postsecondary education in Business Information Technology Management Engineering Science or Computer Science.

4 years of experience in datarelated roles such as data analytics data management data privacy and system development.

Experience in data governance data management process improvement and analytics with large complex organizations and multifunctional/matrix project teams.

Experience managing data improvement initiatives and providing recommendations covering people process and technology capabilities.

Experience in facilitating and leading workshops with multifunctional partners at various levels within the organization.

Ability to build strong relationships and establish trust with executives and business sponsors.

Resultsdriven mindset consistently striving for positive outcomes and achievements.

Dedication to tasks and projects showcasing a strong work ethic and commitment.

Capability to work effectively with minimal direction displaying selfmotivation and autonomy.

Excellent project management skills.

Organizational abilities ensuring efficient workflow and task execution.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Inquisitive and curious nature.

Relentless focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of work.

Familiarity with P&C insurance admin systems such as Guidewire.

Proficiency in data query language such as SQL with familiarity in database modeling concepts.
