Job description
Our client is a locally owned civil construction company that is committed to providing quality services to customers throughout Canada. They have a strong reputation for providing essential services in planning, construction, maintenance, and reclamation. They are seeking a project manager/estimator to support the growth of their team.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and maintaining the project administration, costing, scheduling, and quality, safety and loss control program
- Execution, project planning and resource utilization
- Analyzing plans, specifications and proposals to prepare bid estimates
- Preparing Quantity Take Offs and Bonding Requests
- Attending Site Visits and Pre-Bid Meetings
- Providing leadership to promote maximum productivity
- Working with multiple Superintendents in respective roles
- Maintaining accountability for field costs and forecast costs to complete and implement cost control procedures within the Project Execution Plan
- Ensuring job site procedures and controls are implemented by all personnel
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working as a Project Manager or Estimator in general civil construction
- 7+ years of experience in heavy civil earthworks, and underground utilities
- Capable of travelling between multiple sites
