Job description
JOB PURPOSE
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible to interact with patients to gather medication related information and to provide instruction, checking accuracy of medication preparation by others, supervising Pharmacy Technician students and acquiring, preparing, and distributing medications and pharmaceutical products.

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for:
Domains and standards identified by the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA), 2022.
Model Standards of Practice for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in Canada.
COMPETENCIES IDENTIFIED BY HORIZON HEALTH NETWORK
