Job Description

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the operation of 3 Gas Turbines (GTG’s), 3 Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and a Steam Turbine. The supervisor directs, monitors, and controls the operations of those units, and will develop and maintain a productive, efficient work environment with the operation group.

With a group of 9 - 11 employees, this position reports to the Facility Manager and works closely with the other unit teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the reliable operation of the Power Generation units.

The position has the primary responsibility for the EH&S operation of the gas, steam turbines and the HRSGs ensuring the safety of the Edmonton complex. During periods of crisis or emergency they are required to react immediately to plan, organize, and execute the proper corrective actions.

 
The Site Supervisor is responsible for the set-up and establishment of the procedures, systems and processes required to provide power to the internal and external customers, using Air Products Management Systems as the foundation.

The supervisor is responsible for maximizing the assets utilization, minimization of operating costs and process performance management for the facility to meet the power needs safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Job Duties Minimum Qualifications The candidate must have a 1st class Power Engineering certificate or a 2nd class Power Engineering certificate currently progressing to obtain their 1st Class Power Engineering Certificate.
