Position : Product / Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Vaughan, ON
Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 yearly (Depending on experience)
Industry: Manufacturing / HVAC/ Industrial/ Design/ ISO 9001
Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent
Schedule: In-office position (Currently hybrid)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for the new product development.
- Conceptualize and design components and systems, considering functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize Software to create detailed 3D models, prototypes, and technical drawings for the manufacturing process.
- Conduct thorough analysis, and test to validate designs and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Work closely with the suppliers and internal departments to oversee the production process and address any design-related issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Engineering Degree in Mechanical/ Applied Science or equivalent.
- P. Eng designation would be a definite asset.
- 4+ years of design experience preferably in a manufacturing environment in the HVAC industry.
- Strong technical knowledge with proficiency in 3D Modeling Software such as Autodesk Inventor and other relevant engineering tools.
- Ability to read and interpret Blueprints.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and ISO 9001/ ISO 14001.
- Effective communication skills – both written and verbal.
