The Watts Water Technologies family of companies designs and manufactures valves and drains and related products that promote the comfort and safety of people and the quality, conservation and control of water used in commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal applications. Everything we design is made to keep the Earth's most precious resource safer, cleaner, and more useful for our customers.

The individual in this role sells and markets products for distribution (Business to Business) to contractor and wholesaler partners within their place of business. The role requires the vigorous pursuit of bid/spec offerings. The individual has a proven record of building relationships throughout the market. The Sales Representative will work closely with Wholesalers, Contractors, Engineers, and internal Watts partners.

You Will:

• Travel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and negotiate sales (job is 75% travel, primarily by car)
• Build and maintain customer relationships; point of contact for current and potential customers
• Create and implement personal market development plan (MDP) in designated territory
• Demonstrate products using samples or catalogue; set up displays
• Liaise with Sales Managers and inside GTA sales team to support business
• Quote prices and terms; prepare sales contracts
• Conduct market research and competitor surveillance to maintain competitiveness
• Prepare marketing and sales reports
• Implement marketing projects and price increase notices when needed
• Acts as the voice of the customer and promote customer centric mindset
• Build long-term relationships with customers and strengthen Watts Water Technologies image
• Attend trade shows and industry events as required to represent our products in the marketplace
• Comfortable facilitating or leading training sessions for groups of 15 to 20 attendees.
• Able to work and foster a harmonious working relationship with co-workers.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Manager and/or Department Director.

You Have:

• Post-secondary education or 5 years of industry experience. Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
• At least 3 years of sales experience
• Client focus and ability to work under pressure
• Valid Driver's License
• Understanding of the Plumbing Wholesale Channel and Contractor role
• Proven business development skills and professional demeanor
• Relevant product and industry knowledge.
• Ability to see the big picture while managing the tactics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
• A team player who can prioritize work independently with excellent time management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and excited about sales and continued growth.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job responsibilities outside the typical office setting.
