Job Qualification
Graduation and current license (in good standing) from an accredited Licensed or Registered Nursing Program and regulatory body. Standard First Aid & CPR/ AED (Level C), a vehicle and driver’s license is an asset.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine nursing duties while working with individual clients in their homes in accordance with Bayshore policies/procedures and following the Standards of Nursing Practice as defined by the provincial licensing body.

• Follow the established client Care Plan which can include activities and skills such as health assessments, health teaching, vital sign monitoring, tracheostomy care, airway management, medication administration, g-tube feeds, wound care, and general care within the designated scope of practice. Prior experience working with pediatric clients is an asset.

• Provide individual client care and build a professional relationship with your client while ensuring that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent.

• Following professional and Bayshore Home Health standards you will observe, document and report client conditions, changes and if required to the immediate Supervisor at the branch office.

• Understand and implement infection prevention control practices.

• Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.

• Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.

• Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.

• Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.

• Complete other tasks as requested.

Job Qualification
