Salary Range $52,803.20 - $77,012.30 annually which includes a Temporary Market Adjustment of $53.77 - $247.40 bi-weekly. In addition, eligible employees will receive a recruitment and incentive payment of $10,000 annually (payable in two semi-annual installments of $5,000 and pro-rated for partial periods of employment), as well as a benefits package worth approximately $19,500 to $27,000 annually.” (New recruits are paid $48,729.07 annually during the 33-day training program). As a Correctional Officer, you are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of those in custody through fair and equitable programming, guidance and direction. In this position, you will take an active role in creating a supportive environment by providing opportunities for positive attitude and behavioural change through community service work.

Adult Custody, part of the Corrections Branch, is responsible for the care of approximately 2,800 individuals in our care. This division plays a leading role in the criminal justice system through offender management and control.

Note: Current BC Correctional Officers are exempt from providing documentation already submitted, or undergoing assessments completed, when hired into the position.
