Position Description Inspire World American School – Mandalay is seeking qualified candidates for our Elementary School Homeroom Teaching positions. Teachers at IWAS are expected to be professional, experienced and qualified in their field and bring a positive, high-energy attitude to the classroom. A collaborative, helpful and team-oriented working environment is our focus every year to encourage everyone in their growth and development as a teaching professional. Elementary homeroom teachers will be responsible for English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies classes daily. IWAS provides ample planning time during the school day to encourage our teachers to work in groups to share ideas and strategies. IWAS prides itself on creating an enjoyable working and learning environment for everyone. We value input from our faculty on ways the school can improve each year and welcome feedback on how this can be achieved. It is important for all our staff to be a part of our learning community and pathway to success for our students. We are currently working towards academic accreditation with Cognia to ensure that our standards, practices and methods of instruction are of the highest quality.
