Randstad is excited to partner with our client in the Civil Construction sector in their search for a Construction Foreman to join their growing team in the west GTA! In this role, the Construction Foreman will be responsible for supervising and positively motivating road construction, earth-moving, general utility construction crews, and coordinating with project-specific construction crews.

Responsibilities
• Providing training and supervision to a diverse team of professionals.
• Ensuring staff are proficient in utilizing tools and equipment for construction tasks through proper training and maintenance.
• Daily completion and submission of project-related paperwork, such as timesheets, packing slips, toolbox talks, and job hazard assessments.
• Analyzing and reporting daily challenges, implementing appropriate follow-up actions.
• Undertaking additional duties as delegated by Project Supervisors and Project Managers.
• Actively participation in the planning, scheduling, and execution of sizable construction operations, focusing on project-specific schedules and budgets.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate should have expertise in diverse construction operations, including earth-moving, sewer, and water-main construction, as well as quality control/quality assurance for earth and granular materials. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to effectively manage individuals and work both independently and collaboratively. Previous experience in ICI, MTO, and Municipal Reconstruction would be advantageous.
•Possess extensive road building and construction knowledge, including previous experience as a Foreperson.
•Candidates must have experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
•Strong understanding and enforcement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act on site.
•Knowledge of OTM Book 7 will be considered an asset. Additional training can be arranged for successful candidates.
•Must be willing to work flexible hours, weekends, nights, etc.
•Valid G-Class Drivers License.
