Job description


We are seeking skilled and experienced Automotive Body Technicians to join our team at Wheaton Chevrolet. As a Bodyman, you will play a critical role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition by performing a wide range of body repair tasks. Key Responsibilities:
1.Body Repair:
Perform a variety of body repair tasks, including dent repair, panel replacement, and rust removal, to restore vehicles to their original condition.
Utilize appropriate tools, equipment, and techniques to complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
Ensure that all repairs meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications for quality and safety.

2.Structural Repair:
Identify and repair structural damage to vehicle frames and unibody structures using frame straightening equipment and welding techniques.
Conduct thorough structural inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of repaired vehicles.

3.Quality Control:
Conduct quality inspections throughout the repair process to identify and address any issues or imperfections.
Ensure that all repairs meet established quality standards and customer expectations.
Document repair processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.

4.Team Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with other team members, including estimators, painters, and parts specialists, to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs.
Communicate openly and professionally with colleagues to coordinate tasks and address any challenges or concerns.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical program in automotive body repair preferred.
Journeymen and or ICAR certification.
Proven experience as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within the collision repair industry.
Strong knowledge of automotive body repair technician
