Skills requirements:
- Completion of high school is required;
- At least 1-2 years of proven experience as an electrician is required;
- Good command of English;
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent is an asset.
Description/Duties
Prestige Signs and Lighting Inc. is hiring an Electrician
Job type: Permanent, full-time
Locations: Various project locations in Greater Vancouver area, BC
Hourly wage: $27.00
Main duties:
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams;
- Check signs for visual defects and faulty electrical and mechanical connections;
- Install, replace and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies and other electrical components using hand tools and power tools;
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components;
- Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices;
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or equipment;
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
