Job description


Bethany Manor, a non-profit charitable organization providing safe, affordable seniors housing, is seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk to fill a temporary maternity leave position.

Reporting to the Finance & Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for various accounting functions including, but not limited to:
Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable data entry and related maintenance of accounts
Processing entries such as daily deposits, donation receipts, etc
Excel spreadsheet maintenance and reconciliations
Assisting with processing payroll for approximately 45 employees
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Successful completion of a post-secondary accounting diploma/certificate program
Minimum two (2) years accounting experience including experience in QuickBooks and ADP payroll software
Computer literacy utilizing Microsoft Office applications with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of, and demonstrated ability in, core competencies including time management, customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self-management and accountability.

Successful candidate will be required to provide a clean criminal record check.

Tentative start date April 15, 2024.
