Job description

A leading manufacturing company has a new vacancy for a Accounts Assistant to join on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. You will be responsible for Ledger assistant duties and accounts payable.





Commutable from: Livingston, Motherwell, Bathgate, Edinburgh, Glasgow, East Kilbride


Salary: £ 25,000 - £ 30,000 + Benefits.


Suitable for: Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant, Credit Controller, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Clerk, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable.




The Role

Daily Bank reconciliation.
Processing of purchase invoices, including coding, checking and dealing with queries.
Statement Reconciliations.
Preparation of the mid month and end of month payment runs.
Sales Ledger : printing of invoices, credit control, allocating cash receipts, analysis of overdue debtors, issue month end statements.
Monitor the accounts emails and print/redirect as required.
Raise miscellaneous purchase orders when requested
Preparation of bi-weekly cashflow.
Monthly General Ledger account analysis.
Month end preparation of journals, accruals & prepayments.





The Person

Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
Good working knowledge of Excel.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to work as part of a small team and individually.
