THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is looking for a driven Project Manager to lead important projects in Civil Construction. You'll be at
the center of their operations, using your strong project management skills to ensure smooth teamwork among
various groups like supervisors, engineers, construction workers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies. Our
client is known for their commitment to hard work and working together, which has helped them build strong
relationships with industry and government clients.
In this role, you'll be responsible for managing project schedules and budgets, and promoting teamwork,
proactive task management, and high-quality work among their dedicated team. Our client's success depends
on their ability to adapt to changes in the market and deliver top-notch, sustainable solutions.

Team. They want to be the best contractor around, and your role as a Project Manager will be crucial in building

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Project Manager you will:
Estimates & Project Planning
- Develop and manage project bids, proposals, RFPs, tenders, estimates, contracts, and budgets.
- Develop and maintain project work plans and schedules
- Identify, procure and coordinate resources (labour, equipment, material, subtrades) needed to
efficiently complete projects. - Identify construction crews and assign individuals responsibility.
- Hire and coordinate work of sub-trades.
Project Execution
- Vigilantly monitor and manage project expenditures while mitigating risks to project integrity.
- Ensure that construction activities are completed safely and within project scope, schedule. and budget.
- Supervise and manage the construction process with the site team.
- Actively manage project changes by coordinating and communicating with appropriate personnel and
ensuring documentation updates are complete. - Ensure that material and equipment deliveries are expedited and coordinated.
- Ensure quality management protocol are identified and followed.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and high-quality workmanship.
- Perform regular site visits to a variety of locations, both remote and local, to monitor progress, maintain
relationships and support projects. - Attend site meetings when required and capture necessary information.
- Ensure document control procedures are followed and that all project documents are completed and
filed accordingly including project close out documents.
Staff Supervision
- Support management in implementing disciplinary measures with employees for progressive
advancement. - Assist management in conducting performance reviews of construction crews.
- Maintain high levels of employee morale, efficiency, and safety.
- Ensure that timecards, incident and inspection reports, personnel forms and daily logs are completed
in an accurate and timely manner.
Training
- Conduct formal and informal training to construction crews related to administration and health &
safety procedures. - Work with management to effectively identify staff training needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
As the Project Manager, you will bring:
- A solid working knowledge of the Civil/Earth works and the building construction industry as well as
construction equipment performance. - Proficiency in Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
- A minimum of 10 years’ industry experience including a proven Project Management portfolio.
- 5+ years’ supervisory experience is expected.
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Project/Construction Management is ideal.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to take the role as a leader of a team in order to achieve
successful results. - A strong commitment to capacity building and knowledge transfer to employees.
- Customer focused with the ability to build relationships and to discover and meet customer needs.
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office suite of products.
- Strong financial skills for budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
