Job description
Read and interpret work orders to understand project specifications. Operate metal cleaning equipment such as grinders deburrers and sanders to remove excess welds rust scale and other materials from surfaces of metal parts castings and other metal products. Cut grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools. Polish metal products to achieve a mirror finish. Build crates according to customer requirements for secure product transportation. Assemble parts including light boxes with precision and attention to detail. Operate various machinery including spot welders shears friction saws and panel saws. Accurately and honestly report all manufactured quantities distinguishing between good parts and scrap parts for each work order in the ERP (PSI) System. Promptly communicate any reporting errors to the supervisor. Perform any additional jobrelated duties as directed by the Supervisor. Adhere to all company policies procedures and work instructions ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Report unsafe conditions and personal injuries to the Supervisor/Manager.
Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role. Proficient in reading and interpreting work orders. Skilled in operating metal cleaning equipment hand tools and various machinery. Ability to work with precision and attention to detail. Experience in polishing metal products to a mirror finish. Familiarity with crate building for secure product transportation. Competent in assembly work particularly with light boxes. Knowledge of operating spot welders shears friction saws and panel saws.
