Superviseur de premier niveau d'un petit groupe d'employés horaires d'un centre de distribution de pièces (un entrepôt de matériel). Le titulaire du poste est responsable de la réception ou de l'expédition rapide de pièces grâce à une utilisation efficace de la main-d'œuvre et de l'équipement. Le travail comprend un certain nombre de tâches manuelles et de bureau, ainsi que la prise de décisions dans le respect des pratiques générales et des normes fournies. La charge de travail permet de vérifier le rendement.

Promouvoir la sécurité et le bon entretien en utilisant le système de gestion de la sécurité

Sensibiliser les employés aux normes de qualité, communiquer les objectifs en matière de qualité et mettre à profit les ressources pour résoudre les problèmes de qualité.

Assurer la rapidité des livraisons et la réception continue en court délai.

Tenir des registres pour assurer un suivi et améliorer le rendement du service.

Assurer la formation, le perfectionnement et l'évaluation des employés.

Se tenir informé des coûts et des rapports de rendement du centre de distributions des pièces.

Comprendre et administrer en tout temps les politiques et procédures

Motiver, former et perfectionner les employés pour qu'ils puissent faire leur travail efficacement à l'aide de méthodes normalisées.

Responsable du calendrier de production, des exigences en matière de qualité des produits et de l’utilisation de la main d’œuvre.

Participer à la planification des activités, mettre à jour les tableaux de déploiement du plan d'affaire et continuellement améliorer tous les aspects des opérations.

Le superviseur fera des rotations sur l’équipe de jour et de soir.

Compétences recherchées:

Le bilinguisme (français et anglais parlé et écris) est une nécessité absolue pour ce poste.

Solides aptitudes en relations interpersonnelles afin de favoriser l'efficacité, la productivité et la motivation des employés.

Excellentes aptitudes à communiquer, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit.

Connaissance étendue des programmes de santé et sécurité et d’ergonomie.

Capacité éprouvée à créer une équipe et à diriger un entrepôt utilisant les principes allégés d’élimination des pertes et d’amélioration en continue.

Aptitude à organiser et à planifier.

Aptitudes confirmées à évaluer et à identifier des plans d'action de rechange pour définir et résoudre des problèmes uniques et variés; capacité de faire preuve de jugement et d'autonomie nécessaire.

Scolarité:

Diplôme Collégial et/ou expérience de travail équivalente

Atouts recherchés:

Capacité à travailler avec des feuilles de calculs (Excel) et des bases de données (Access).

Additional Description

The successful candidate will be a First-line supervisor of a small sized group of hourly employees in a parts distribution center/ materials warehouse. Responsible for prompt shipment and/or receipt of parts by efficient utilization of labour and equipment. Work consists of a number of involved clerical and manual operations with decisions made within the limits of general practices and procedures. Volume of work serves as a check on productivity.

Promotes safety and good housekeeping practices utilizing safety management system

Maintain awareness of quality standards, communicate department quality goals and leverage resources to solve quality issues 

Maintains prompt shipment and short lead time flow receiving.

Maintains records to track and improve departmental performance

Trains, develops and evaluates employees

Keeps abreast of parts distribution center performance reports and costs

Understands and consistently administers policies and procedures

Motivate, train and develop employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods

Responsible for meeting production schedules, product quality requirements and personnel allocation

Participates in forward planning activities, maintains departmental Business Plan Deployment (BPD) boards, continuously improve team performance in all aspects of the business.

The supervisor will be rotating on both day shift and afternoon shift

Required:

Must be fluently Bilingual (verbal and written in English and French) This is an absolute requirement

High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output

Excellent communications skills, both orally and in writing.

Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety and ergonomic programs.

Proficiency in team building and demonstrated ability to manage a warehouse utilizing lean principles of waste elimination and continuous improvements.

Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and plan

Demonstrated high level analytical ability to assess and identify appropriate alternative courses of action for definition and resolution of issues that are unique and diverse; ability to exercise independent judgment is required

Education:

College degree and/or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with working with spreadsheets (Excel) and databases (Access)
