The Opportunity - Sr. Product Manager, Mobile
In this role, you will work with the leadership of the product development organization to shape the future of the platform and define how our Customers interact with team members and their clients. You will develop and realize a bold direction and establish a strategic plan for our mobile apps that will increase engagement, expand our reach, and allow FreshBooks to scale and thrive.
Ideally, you will have extensive experience delivering successful apps in iOS and Android, a strong understanding of best practices in mobile UX and technology, and superior product management skills, preferably within the context of a B2B SaaS product.
NOTE: This role can be worked
remotely from the above location.
What You'll Do as a Sr. Product Manager for Mobile
- Understand our Customers using data-driven insights, competitive analysis, market intelligence, and customer research. Bring curiosity and a Customer-centric mindset to every decision.
- Tell the story of what we are doing and the “why?” behind every product decision.
- Evolve our vision for our mobile apps, using it to establish product strategies, identify KPIs, and develop 1-year and 3-year roadmaps.
- Encourage a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
- Drive execution in a cross-functional, dynamic environment. You will partner with engineers, product designers, data analysts, product marketing managers, and others to bring your plans to completion and achieve your stated outcomes.
- Work with teams across the organization to develop and implement go-to-market plans that drive app usage and create awareness of mobile functionality and the value our apps deliver.
- Establish and maintain a high standard of quality that creates an exceptional experience that is intuitive and personalized, and makes using our apps effortless.
What You'll Bring to the Role
- Experience in leading the Product function for mobile apps (B2B preferred) with a strong understanding of the technical issues, marketplace, and user experience for iOS and Android platforms.
- A deep understanding of UX patterns in iOS and Android devices and the ability to leverage that knowledge in collaborating with product designers and engineers to craft the strategic direction of our apps.
- Data-fluency, an ability to derive insights from data, and exceptional communication skills that enable you to socialize your analysis and decisions to audiences at all levels of the organization.
- A collaborative approach and a proven ability to build strong relationships. You seek out opportunities to work with people across the organization to incorporate diverse perspectives into every aspect of your work.
- Demonstrated capacity to juggle the day-to-day demands of delivering a mobile product while keeping the larger strategies and vision in sight. You identify and focus on the most pressing challenges with appropriate effort.
- A desire to operate in a high-visibility and high-impact product area that is poised to help drive organizational change.
