Vista Engineering is fully committed to delivering on this vision through a decentralized data mesh strategy. We are looking for an analyst to join our Business Performance and Manufacturing Domain to apply strong analytical skills to define problems, form hypotheses, capture and analyze data, and make strategic recommendations in support of Vistaprint Windsor’s global manufacturing and logistics operations. You will collaborate closely with the Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering and Financial Teams on key performance indicators that include, but not limited to, shipping costs, labour costs, throughput time, scheduling optimization, and customer complaints.
What You Will Do:
- Become fluent in manufacturing processes through working with Production and Logistics teams to define methods for measuring productivity, maintaining related dashboards, and recommending targets through analysis.
- Partner with local and global business team members to build and monitor key performance indicator dashboards and translate data visualization into actionable insights.
- Enable self-service culture through migrating reporting from legacy sql server reporting to Snowflake/Looker data platform and training users on Looker.
- Be immersed in diverse teams (e.g., Manufacturing Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Owners, Data Scientists) where you will collaborate on development and analyses and continually bring forward ideas and insights to drive value for our customers.
- Collaborate in a fast paced, agile environment that focuses on delivering customer value early and often.
- Respond in a timely manner to ad-hoc analytic requests from the plant for data, analysis, and reports.
Your Qualifications:
- Have a strong orientation for data and technology. You have 2 to 3 years of technical, analytical work experience in a related field, with proficiency in SQL programming.
- Have a passion for data. You are comfortable with exploratory analysis, statistical techniques, and are driven to find meaningful patterns and trends in the data. Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau are a plus.
- Are a resourceful and driven problem solver. You enjoy and have demonstrated ability to take on complex problems, drawing inferences from data, and using your analysis skills and business acumen to determine solutions. You have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to successfully manage projects supporting multiple business partners. You are motivated to learn the business processes and understand stakeholder needs.
