Job description


Our client in the distribution industry is experiencing growth and seeking an Administrative Assistant to work closely with their sales and customer service departments. Our client specializes in the distribution of consumer electronic products throughout Canada & the United States.

The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operations of the sales and customer service departments. Working in a quiet, focused office setting, you will perform a range of tasks, from order processing and data analysis to providing vital assistance in various projects and initiatives. Our team values independent work as well as collaboration.

Key Information:

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Location: Pickering (This position is exclusively on site.)

*Access to a car, as public transportation is not nearby.

Responsibilities
-Assist the sales department in various roles and functions.
-Process sales orders received from dealers across the country, including tracking shipments and managing inventory.
-Create and maintain spreadsheets for sales analyses and forecasts.
-Provide support for new and ongoing projects as needed.
-Liaise with representatives and dealers across the country to promote ongoing sales efforts.
-Participate in the implementation of our SAP ERP system. Proficiency in SAP is required.
-Assist with trade shows and sales events on an occasional basis.
-Oversee inventory to make recommendations on items running low.

Qualifications
-A post-secondary education in a relevant field.
-Minimum 3 years of Order Desk or relevant experience (ideal for young professionals seeking growth)
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel and SAP.
-Professional, confident, and enthusiastic about tackling new tasks.
-Excellent knowledge of sales and marketing strategies is considered an ASSET.
-Strong organizational skills to ensure tasks are completed on time.
-Detail-oriented and confident with numbers, especially in the context of order processing and invoicing.
-Effective communication skills, both internal and external.
-An enthusiastic and proactive individual with a desire for career advancement.
-Strong mathematical aptitude
-Customer Service/ sales experience is considered an Asset
-Access to a car, as public transportation is not nearby.
