Established in 1976 the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. Nature and Scope

Reporting directly to the Associate Dean, Trades and Industrial, the Tools & Equipment Officer focuses on trade centre organization, inventory control, and tool crib post program clean up. In collaboration with Program Coordinators and Instructors, ensure that all trade centres and tool cribs are maintained in state of readiness for program delivery and are not being used to store items un-related to their intended use. This position will positively promote and create an environment that demonstrates SIIT's vision, mission, and mandate.


General Accountability

On a casual, as needed basis, this position is accountable for establishing, effective inventory control processes, and ensuring our tools and equipment are in a state of readiness consistent with SIIT standards and processes. The role provides shop, equipment and tool crib functions in support of T&I program delivery in urban and rural locations. There is a requirement to be thorough, well organized, and conscientious to ensure high quality work. This position provides additional support as required and includes the following broad range of accountabilities:

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. As this position is considered safety sensitive, the incumbent will be subject to testing as per SIIT's Alcohol and Substances policy.

Incumbent must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation as travel is required.
