Job description
We are looking for an IT Tester, based in our Fredericton or Woodstock, NB office locations. Reporting to the IT Test Teams Senior Manager, the IT Tester is primarily accountable for working with the BSAs and Development team to execute functional testing and evaluate Xplore’s software applications and systems, as well as all enhancements and bug fixes put into place. The IT Tester will record and report any defects uncovered during testing and provide sufficient documentation to the BSA to address the defect.
Key responsibilities include:
• Participate in application development planning meetings
• Review and analyze software requirements
• Create test plans and generate test cases
• Execute and document test cases, identify and monitor defects
• Maintain IT Test Environments and create test data sets
• Oversee the testing of software, applications, systems or products
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Technical Training, College diploma or Technical Degree
• Minimum 1-year experience in a Technical role such as TSS or similar role
• Excellent analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to analyze system issues and applications as required
• Proven experience in overseeing the testing of software, applications, systems or products would be an asset
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops Testing Plan would be beneficial
