They are looking to add an Insurance Advisor to their personal insurance team.
Job Description:
The Personal Insurance Advisor provides their prospective and current clients with professional accurate advice with a consistent high level of personalized service. Duties to include but not limited to:
- Provide excellent customer service via telephone, online, written communication and in person with in office visits
- Build and manage relationships with new and existing clients, determine customer needs, answer inquiries and questions
- Preparation of policy applications, accurate quotes, completion of the sale and binding coverage with the best suited market based on the customer’s needs
- Orders and reviews MVRs, Autoplus and HITS
- Renewal processing, policy changes and endorsement transactions
- Works within underwriting rules and workflow processes
- Strong knowledge of products, keeps up to date on insurance related changes through company training and team learning sessions
Job Requirements and Core Competencies:
- RIBO Licensed
- Personal lines experience ( Home and Auto, minimum 2-5 years), proficient in preparing applications, issuing liability slips, binders, certificate of insurance, processing endorsements on Broker & Company Portals.
- Experienced in Broker Management System SIGXP (An Asset)
- Experienced in ordering and reading MVR’s, Autoplus, and HITS
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow-up on uncompleted tasks in a timely manner
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook & Excel
- Ability to work in a fast paced and electronic file environment
- Reliable, positive attitude, goal oriented team player
- Ability to come up with solutions to problems and make decisions, work with minimal direction after training and orientation period
- Desire to have a career in the insurance industry
This is a salaried position, compensation will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
