SALARY: $78,390 - $92,223

ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT: The Enterprise Risk Specialist is responsible to support the achievement of the organization's objectives through ensuring the appropriate Enterprise Risk Management processes are in place and working effectively, and that the related standards and procedures are effectively implemented across the organization
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: - Implement ERM policy and enhance current risk management processes
- Liaise with leadership on the identification and assessment of business risks and emerging risks
- Analyzes risk assessment processes and provides risk facilitation strategy, techniques and workshops in order to support the identification, assessment and management of risks and opportunities to achieve business objectives and outcomes
- Collaborate with risk owners to develop and track risk mitigation strategies and plans and develop key risk indicator metrics
- Implement and enhance project risk management tools
- Prepare all ERM regular reporting, including quarterly risk registers for Ministry of Transportation and regular updates to the executive team
- Prepare and deliver risk management training to the organization
- Provides expertise and advice to senior executives in the identification, assessment, management and monitoring of key risks
REQUIREMENTS: - University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related field of study
- Professional Risk Management Certificate (e.g. CRM) is an asset
- Experience working with Ontario Public Sector risk framework is an asset
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in risk controls and assessments, root cause analysis, and enterprise risk management programs
- Strong analytical and research skills to identify and assess risks from various sources of data
- Organizational and time management skills, including balancing multiple priorities and tasks while meeting strict deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment
- Must be committed to Company Health and Safety standards and expectations
