Production Coordinator, Remanufacturing

Job description
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, The Production Coordinator will take charge of planning and coordinating all activities related to component repair and remanufacturing. As the driving force behind disassembly and production schedules, both in-house and with external suppliers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and efficiency of our Burlington facility. You will collaborate closely with the Parts Department and warehouse organization to make a significant impact on our production processes. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the daily scheduling of technicians to ensure that the workflow is adequately assigned and dispersed to meet the required timelines.
- Oversee the preparation of all relevant shop floor documentation, including production orders, operation notes, technical drawings, quality procedures, etc. for components to be repaired and remanufactured
- Oversee distribution of relevant shop floor documentation to internal work centres and external sub-contractors
- Proactively identify and manage unavailable parts [new and refurbished) before releasing component and piece part work orders for production
- Develop planning scenarios based on component forecast variance, unplanned demands, missing parts, under capacity and other confounding factors
- Oversee the timely collection and processing of completed work orders, operation notes and timesheets to ensure accurate work order planning, capacity and inventory levels in the ERP system
- Oversee the collection and archiving of completed quality documentation to ensure traceability and accountability for finished piece parts and components
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management summarizing component volumes, work centre activity and productivity, work in progress levels, missing parts, order timeliness, and other planning related KPls
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies
- 1-2 years working experience in a production/heavy equipment environment
- Completion or recent graduate of a Mechanical Engineering Degree, working experience will be considered
- Highly organized with a high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping organized
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate at various levels
- Demonstrated high level computer skills (MS Office applications and/or other)
- Baan Knowledge is considered an asset
