Job description

This is a contract position for a DevOPS/Cloud Engineer for our public sector client.
Work location: Downtown Toronto
Duration: Twelve Months
7.25 hours/day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities
Assessment of existing SAS ecosystem covering SAS BA & VA from migration point-of-view and development of key considerations.
Assessment of the proposed Cloud architecture blueprints.
Assessment and implementation of proposed security architecture.
Deployment of Viya 4 software, verification and validation of the deployed configuration.
Analysis of the general structure of existing SAS 9.4 procedures and projects from SAS Viya code conversion perspective.
Providing guidance and hands-on help in the re-engineering non-convertible SAS code in accordance with the new Viya coding requirements.
Documentation of key aspects of the design and implementation decisions. Provide presentations and Knowledge Transfer to HSC team.

Any other deliverables as assigned by Project Manager / Manager.

Qualifications
In-depth knowledge and experience with SAS 9.4 Analytics platform including but not limited to Base SAS, SAS EG, SAS EM, SAS Graph (5+ years).
In-depth knowledge and experience with SAS Viya platform (3 + years), including SAS Viya 4 (1+ years).
In-depth knowledge and experience with SAS programming using SAS Enterprise Guide (SAS 9.4, 5+ years) and SAS Studio V (SAS Viya, 1+ years).
Experience in designing, installing, and deploying enterprise SAS Viya 4 software in container-based Cloud environments (AWS or Azure). Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker technologies (1+ years).
Experience in successful conversion of SAS 9.4 procedures and other artefacts to SAS Viya 4.
Experience in migration of SAS 9.4 datasets to SAS Viya.
Experience in configuring and administering SAS backend environments in Linux operating system.
Experience with troubleshooting SAS environments including performance issues.
Experience and understanding of SAS Platform Security including authorization and permissions, roles and capabilities, authentication and identity management, configuration of web and proxy servers, single sign-on implementations.
Experience in testing SAS solutions leading to user acceptance of the solution.
